Hello,
I faced problem with adding PA option to My Lexus RX350 2013(Canada).
Installed:
89340-48030 - PA ECU
82119-48010 - Front Wire
82181-48130 - Rear Wire 1
82183-48010 - Rear Wire 2
89747-30040 - Buzzer
89341-33210 - 8 Sonars (Denso)
Problems in front side
Only first front left Sonar works, DTC error C1AEC, other 3 Sonars doesn't. Checked wire from ECU to first Sonar, everything is ok.
Problems in rear side
Only first right rear and last left rear are working, and central left and central right doesn't. DTC errors DTC C1AE7 and C1AE8.
I decided that problem can be in ECU, but changing them to several items with the same Part number 89340-48030, didn't get any result.
Can you provide any suggestion or solution.
Thank You.

I am looking at adding the park assist to my 2013 RX350. For the Front Wire harness (82119), where does it plug into. I saw a video of someone removing the bumper and it seems there are two plugs on the driver side behind the fog light (one for the fog light and one I assume for the front wire sensor harness), but when I looked at mine, it only had one plug. Does anyone have a picture of where the harness plugs into? Thanks.

Why not just buy an aftermarket parking sensor kit? They will be much simpler to install and may actually work.
I have one on my 2011 Lexus HS250h. It was already on the car when I got it used so I don't know the make. It is always on and has a little gauge on the dash to show your distance from hitting something.

That is an option, but I would rather use the existing screen instead of adding another device to put on my dash. Plus I have had issues with aftermarket systems not working well for other items (remote start and nav systems). I may not have an option though because I looked all around the fog light and can't find anywhere to plug the wire into.

One of the things that bugs me about my 2010 RX 450h is that they didn't have Parking Assist sensors immediately in front of the vehicle on that generation; only the outside front corners. I guess to protect against too sharp of a turn?
Someone had suggested, in passing, on another forum that they were going to buy a couple of sensors, mount them directly in front, and then gang them to the corner sensors for the warning alarms. But, they didn't elaborate on how to do that; or whether it actually worked for them.
Has anybody done that here so they can get direct front protection? I find it odd that they didn't have four sensors in the front to begin with. Lexus added them in the next generation of the 450h/350.

I don't know if you can add sensors. A body shop may know.
I have aftermarket parking sensors on my 2011 HS250h. They were on it when I got it used. It has a small gauge to the left of the instrument cluster that beeps and shows your distance to hitting things when parking for both front and rear. It is on all the time and is not integrated with any of the Lexus systems. It covers front and back. It looks like the one in this kit. The price is not bad, but you have to do a lot of wiring and other work to install it. I presume the bumper sensors can be painted because I have a white car and the sensors are white. There are several other similar parking sensor kits you can find with a Google search.

May I ask you what is the motivation? We rented a home with short garage and I needed some method to stop with-in an inch. Park assist was of no use. I got hold of parking laser, which shine a blinking red dot on to my dash. A low tech solution is to hang an old tennis-ball from the ceiling roughly over the slanting front windshield. Then park your vehicle with assistant and simply adjust the length of the string till the ball kisses the windshield.
Salim
PS: some spotting lasers can not be seen through polarized sun-glasses.
Out of the box thinking can find creative solutions, but we need to know what you want to accomplish with front sensor.

Thanks for the parking laser tip. I have Tennis ***** and a tire stop glued to the floor but they were set up for another vehicle and need adjusting.
