Would you say it is best to leave the Lights on all the time ( Have the LED ones ) - or leave it on auto - where it adjusts to the ambient conditions ?
Just want to make the 450h last as long as possible... and also be Safe !

I would think if you leave them on all the time, the bulbs wont last very long. However, if they are anything like HIDs, I know its bad for them to turn on and then off quickly as this also destroys their life.
I usually keep it on Auto, but when I am going into the garage or a long tunnel, I turn them off since I dont want them to turn on for just a short amount of time

Safety always comes First.. as cliché as it may sound.
so on all our Cars/SUVs the DRL is stuck to AUTO.
it's nice and convenient not to think about opening your headlights when you enter a dark area.. say going through a tunnel etc.

it is also law in the Cali to have your lights on when it rains. Just as an aside, my lowly Mercedes C class turns on the lights when the auto wipers are activated. I wish my Lexus did that

Having the headlights come on with the auto wipers is a nice feature. But how sensitive are the auto wipers on the MB? I assume the headlights don't come on after one swipe.

Actually the MB wipers dont do false alarm wipes and are usually pretty good about keeping dry. The stalk has OFF, lower sensitive auto, higher sensitive auto, intermittent, then fast wipe. after about 5 wipes, the headlights turn on

Our other vehicle is a 2008 Cadillac CTS and the headlights come on when the automatic wipers are activated by the rain. I have never looked and we do not have automatic wipers on the RX, but I am assuming the the headlights come on if we manually activate the wipers. Of course, you know what they say about assume.

They don't, there is zero link between auto headlamps and auto wipers on current Lexus vehicles; it would be smart of them to implement that.
