djkidkris, I sympathize. I spent 15 hours Friday and Saturday spiffing up the 450h - clay, paint cleaner (with PC), wax with four washes in between. And I didn't even get to do everything I wanted. Needless to say I'm still recovering. Now the sun doesn't want to come out to show off the shine

Look'n pretty good there!

Does the sport package remove the park assist or did you polish off the sensors?

Thanks David. Now it's raining and will continue for days I didn't want the little buttons on the bumper so I skipped park assist.

Anita,
15 hours?! I should be the one sympathizing! Impressive...your 450 looks great! I skipped the washes in between steps and didnt get to my interior. I was tapped after 6 hrs.

David,
I really like ultimate liquid wax. It only has to be applied thinly and it wipes of real easily after 5 mins or so. The paint is soo silky smooth and looks really wet and glossy especially for tungsten pearl. I could only imagine the results you would get on obsidian or a darker color.

Anita, I have always wondered if there was any option that you did not have. Now I know you don't have the parking assist. The RX looks marvelous. It is shame that it is raining for days because you don't get to drive it at it's beautiful best. The weather is the same here in the Burgh! By the way, I just love those split spoke wheels. They may be a bit of a pain to clean, but they really look sharp.

What type of clay bar did you use to spiff up your RX? I havn't tried a clay treatment but as the rx gets washed and waxed regularly, it may help to get the swirls out.
Those mag wheels are really nice on the RX Hybrid. Are they 18 or 19"
Cheers,
Jim

I used a mother's Clay Bar System because I got free cleaner wax with it. The other over the counter product would be the Meguiars Clay Bar system. I'm not sure if I'm reading your reply correctly but clay barring will not remove any swirls or prevent swirls. Clay barring will only remove any surface contaminants that regular washing will not remove. This ensures that the paint is as clean and clear as it can be so that you can get the best results when polishing and waxing (shiny wet glossy look). Only compounds and polishes will remove remove swirls. The abrasives that are in compounds/polishes will fill and smooth out the scratches. Then wax to seal and protect the paint.

Check out the chart. Hope this helps!
