I have a friend who just bought a Kia. The word Kia shows up 17 times on the exterior of the vehicle!! Each wheel, every piece of glass, emblems everywhere!!

The word Audi is nowhere to be found on my A6 or my TT. Just the four Audi rings.

Most people should probably know the Lexus "L" emblem by now and don't need to see the word anywhere on the vehicle to know what it is.

Actually they're not metal but just stick on silver "bubble" letters which closely resemble the Lexus font/style. That said, they are easily removed by peeling off letter by letter. When done right/patiently you won't need WD40 et al to clean any sticky residue. I'm never a fan of dealer logos on cars but I will say Scanlon's are one of better looking attempts at blending in seamlessly as possible. Regardless, it was the first thing I removed on a relatives new RX when I detailed it for them this summer...

That's good to know because the dealer told me it would come off but I imagined holes in the metal afterwards.

In Oct. of last year while shopping for a 2010 RX this salesman and I are walking down the back of a line of RX's looking for the 2010s and I pointed out the 2011s and he said " How do you know that they are 11 models?" That's when I told him about the absence of the Lexus badge on the 2011s. I didn't buy there.

Personally, I like the absence of the Lexus emblem on the left side.
it's redundant. You don't see a Merc or a Bimmer with their logo spelled out.

And it's more space to place your regular sticker instead of placing it in the rear glass panel.

Agree, I prefer logo absence. You used to NOT see redundant usage of name plates and logos but... with all the "brand" imaging/messaging going on these days, redundancy is becoming more and more prevalent. Many companies have "brand police" who enforce "standards". For instance they will not allow logo placement on anything that will get defaced (a dog's chew toy) or where it's placement might denigrate the brand image... i.e. logo usage on a floor or in a doorway mat which will/could get soiled or stepped on.

Comically, the new Porsche 991 (latest 911 variant) will have what IMNSHO is an overly redundant, Trump like superlative, billboard on it's a$$ all in the name of "branding". As if this vehicle's classic and timeless design leaves any wonder as to make let alone model

It's funny how some car companies are losing their names while Porsche is adding them. It's not hard to figure out who makes it. Might look tacky but I'd take that 911

Where you been, sweet?

Congratulations sweet. Hope the promotion is treating you well. Sounds like a plan next time you head down this way. Bring your sister. AC is a few hours south of me, I'm closer to the city.

Emblem or no emblem, doesn't matter to me, however, if a dealer wants to put their name on my car I charge them for advertising! I've had the dealer take $3,500 off my price on a Ford Explorer!
