I too have dealt with both, started out with Lindsay when I purchased my 2004. They wouldn't deal so I went to Pohanka and bought my car. My experience with Pohanka for both sales and service has been nothing short of excellent and I would only consider taking my business to them. My husband bought his Acura and his Avalanche from their Acura and Chevy dealerships and feels the same way.

I would have no problem referring friends and family to them for both sales and service and it goes without saying that I will definitely continue my business relationship with them.

I guess I've been catching them on bad days. My last service experience with Pohanka was a nightmare. I ended up having to escalate to Lexus corporate to make it right and even then Pohanka tried to renege on what they had agreed to make right.

I'm glad you had a good experience but unfortunately it's not always so.

Default Info assistance

jamiec,
Congrats on your new RX. A great deal and a super vehicle. Have a question for you. Does the 2012 RX have the Lexus name emblem on the hatch? My 2011 doesn't have the name emblem. I read someplace ( and can't find it now) that the 2012's were going to have the name emblem added to balance the hatch appearance.
Thanks for the info and continue to enjoy.

According to the website photos, the 2012 does not have the emblem.

Just picked up my 2012 this evening and the Lexus name plate is NOT there. Looks a little off balance to me, but, I agree with the redundancy of leaving it on.

It's really not off balance. Think of it as you have a name tag on your uniform. You don't wear 2 name tags going to work.

Default Thanks

jamiec,
Thanks for the info. To me it looks off balance maybe because I do not wear a name tag anymore (4u happy). I'm retired!! Just ordered one through local Lexus Dealer. The 2010 had them up til August 2010 according to the parts person. Lexus probably saved $15 (or less). Should have it in hand in couple of days.

I'm curious as to what percentage of '11 and '12 owners will affix a badge and also how is it done? Glue? Drill a hole? Will it lower resale value? I'm getting a '10 because I want a badge. Call me crazy but I'm a girl so I pick things based on how they look, lol.

Will advise when I install mine. I think that it is simply peel and apply. You know with double sided tape. Well you can call me crazy also and I'm a man. I like the way things look to me. Others have their own opinion. Thank God we are not all alike. What a boring world this would be in the event we were and had only one choice in a vehicle and accessories.
Just enjoy life and your vehicle.

@ batmobile x, jamiec and donmatt.. i'll beat you guys and gals for the "CRAZY" award.
i have a 2011 and i'm actually considering the removal of the RX 350 emblem.
i don't like it when wax and other cleaning fluids get stuck into those emblems.

maybe it's just me.

oh yeah, i had the same problem with our Range Rover.. i hated how the "Range Rover" is spelled out in the back..
i don't NEED to remind myself Nor announce to the neighbors what i bought.. right?
and don't get me started on those license plate frames that spells out the dealer's name and website.. Yuck!

On another thread I posted a link to a photo of a car at a dealership where the dealer's name was emblazoned directly above the Lexus badge, the same size as the Lexus name. I emailed them and asked them about it and they said it comes off easily. I may check out the car but I bet the paint will be damaged when they remove it.

Me too. If one is on a car that I buy the first thing I do is peel off the sticker.

Today I received the Lexus name badge that I ordered. It is now installed with the rear hatch appearance balanced. The installation was a 10 minute job Make certain that all wax and oil is removed from the area that the badge will be installed. Once you have located the exact spot that you want it just peel off the clear plastic covering the tape and press badge onto the hatch.
Poof you are finished. Looks much better I think. Good luck after you spend about $42.00 for the name badge. Worth it though.
