I wish the RX with Navi can have the same buttons as the RX without Navi. i can toggle back and forth but it would be easier/safer to just push one desired button intead of toggleing the button many times or using the screen via remote control.

I leave everything on auto myself. The only thing I change with any regularity is the temp on the passenger if someone isn't as cold blooded as I am. I don't recall the humid smell in this one since I've had it (over two years now). Plus it's easy to change your cabin air filter yourself and you can peruse the net to get your best price. Usually much less than the Lexus parts counter.

So is it best to leave the A/C on Auto ? I don't want to have the "smell" that some people have mentioned about when the vents get mould in them. So is Auto best to avoid this ?

Cheers

I don't leave mine in auto but have the A/C to default on. I like to control the temps manually. In addition to changing the cabin filter like Jim said, there are also A/C odor removers if the smell starts, some that go down the vents and some that don't. I've tried both, the 'in the vent' one came out of the floor vents and didn't smell great. I'd opt for the second one. It's easier to use.

Anita
On total 'AUTO', you still have manual control of the temps. On each side the up/down buttons are for driver/passenger side temp controls. No problem. Or maybe I didn't understand what you were saying.

Jim, I use manual because I can choose the vent mode too. I don't necessarily like the way auto picks the vents based on the temp. I wish it would stay in the same mode.
