Walked into a restaurant and forgot to turn the car off
#16
I have a couple of "issues" My BMW requires two pushes of started button to first turn off the car then turn off accessories. Since the Bimmer is mine, when I drive my wifes 450h, I hit the button twice , electronics come back on but car does not start, so I have to start it to turn it off.
Then, in August I was going on a 2 week trip and left car at airport. Imagine the surprise when I got home and saw mirrors extended and knew the car was not locked. Lucky nothing happened.
Getting to the point of too much technology for a 66 YO

X Man:
the radio I think will turn off when door is opened, but the nav screen with all the functions stays on. I know it turns off after 7-8 minutes but I really do not like leaving the car with the stuff on. So i push the starter button twice--and if you do that in the 450 the dash lites up on the second push and if you push again it does not turn off--so I have to start the car (push button and break pedal) and then turn it all off again.
BTW--my wife and I really love the car.
