Clear film coating for bumpers and side mirrors?
#16
Thank you all for the tip on Zaino... I just read a thread that was several pages... and wow they have so many products. It's a little confusing.
Once I get the film done... I'll purchase it. Will need to figure out what are the best products to keep the car looking good... it have the stargazer color and it is really nice to look at when it's clean!
You guys are great... lots of really good info and advice... thank you!!

Thank you everyone for your replies... I found quite a bit of info in the previous threads... probably should have searched differently, but being new... didn't realize it was called a clear bra. lol
My car is having the front windows tinted and the clear bra put on today. I did not go with the dealer and got a really good price at a specialty shop and was assured that the installer is one of the best. I actually know the owner from many years ago. I'm having - partial hood (16 inch) full bumper, headlights, fog lights, side mirrors and door edges done. I didn't think to ask which film they use, but he also said they only use top quality stuff. They are giving me a bottle of 3M something to use on the film.
I didn't get anything on the rear bumper... so hopefully that will be ok. It was kind of a quick decision today... I was thinking I would wait on this for a couple more weeks... but as everyone said... you should do it right when the car is new... they had a window of time today... so I just left the car there.
Hopefully it will come out good!!
Thank you again!

The clear bra/paint protection came out great! I'm very happy with it and paid just about 1/2 of what the dealer was asking. The line is barely visible on the hood and door edges... and only visible at whichever angle you are looking at the car. My car looked better than the car I was shown at the dealership! The window tint came out great too.
I'm very happy.... so if anyone is in the MA area and is looking for this kind of work... I would highly recommend Tint King in Billerica, MA Good prices and quality work!
GoodRevs... my first Rx's were purchased from Ira Lexus... I liked them alot and almost bought this one there... but Watertown had a 2011 and the price was right. I am a fan of Ira Lexus too!
