Default Bluetooth Issue: Phonecall in Progress

My mother has this issue going on with her '10 RX. She goes to make a call through the steering wheel, goes through all the prompts, and then the car will say something along the lines of "Unable to complete call: Call already in progress" and it will show a call as being in progress and the duration is however long the car has been running. I've seen it happen a few times, and when I go to physically check the phone itself there is no call in progress.

I'm going to repair the phone with the car next time I see her, but is this a known issue? I don't really follow the new RX's TSBs and other issues so let me know if this is something she should bring into Lexus. Thanks

I've never experienced it nor ever heard of it.

But it sounds like something in the blue tooth area hasn't disconnected from the phone. Maybe paring it again like you said will fix the issue.
Good luck

I have had "Phone Call In Progress" message appear twice in the past week, 2015 RX350. Both times, the car had been sitting in parking lot at work. I get in and start the vehicle and it connects to my iPhone 5 - a snippet of music plays and then stops, and the Nav screen displays a message saying "Phone call is in progress", and has a timer to indicate length of call.

First time it happened, I thought I accidentally disturbed the phone and was calling someone. So I grab the phone, unlock the screen - but no phone call is in progress. I couldn't clear the message on the car display, shutting down the car didn't work, same message on restart. I wound up powering down the iPhone and restarting it.

Very next day, after work - it does the same thing again. This time I just powered down the iPhone and restarted it, and it cleared the message on the car display.

No one else has experienced this? I'm running IOS 7.1.1 on the phone. Maybe I should backup and restore the iPhone, see if it helps.

Just restart your phone every few days and you should be ok. iPhones do strange things when not restarted on a regular basis.

Agreed, iPhones need to be rebooted every so often. Hold the home button and the power button down at the same time until the phone restarts and you see the silver Apple and then release both buttons.

+1 on the IPhone reboot. My wife's phone would not text pictures recently. Rebooted the phone and all is fine.
