Looking at a used RX350 2010 tomorrow - advice?
#16
Used car prices are at their highest right now. Its all about supply and demand. People are not buying new cars because of the economy and are buying used instead. I just read an article about this subject as well and it confirms that at least 117 car models are selling more as used than their new equivalents.
If you check on Carmax, though, 2010 RX's are selling for between 35,000 and 39,000 depending on if they've got the navigation/comfort package or just the premium package. So I really think the price may be too high for that used loaner that you're looking at, Tednord.

Thanks, I'm getting the feeling that you're probably right. I'll talk to some dealers tomorrow about it.
I have been hearing about this for a while too. The only problem is, if you try and sell your car to a place like Carmax or some other dealership, they don't seem to want to give you much of anything for your car, but they'll turn around and sell the car for quite a bit more.
