I'm a 29 year old male and work in the aerospace industry. RX was purchased for the wife (fiancee at the time) so she could drive it to the various hospitals she has to go to for her medical rotations. She's 23 and we have no kids.
We looked at the both the old and new X3's but neither really fit our needs for the $. Went to a nearby Audi dealer to check out the Q5 and they happened to have an RX on their lot for a steal.
The price and reliability of the RX sold me. Average maintenance cost on my 530 which has been excellent is $1500ish/year - granted I do a lot more than just the recommended service items. So far I've spent around $300 this year on the RX, although I estimate a full average year will run about 1/2 that of the bimmer. The heated seats, navigation, and deathly numb road feel sold her.

51 yr old woman, married, with a 22 yr old son and 6 yr old Maltese. This is my 2nd Lexus RX; just traded my 2003 for a 2013 350, took awhile to get adjusted to the stiffer ride, but I do love it. Prior to Lexus drove Hondas. I'm a nurse in the Northeast so It's essential I have a reliable vehicle to drive in ALL kinds of weather, enjoy the luxury too

I am 59, married and the only driver. My husband is British and since moving to US when we got married, has never driven a car. My first car was a Toyota Corolla, then a Celica, then a Camry which we loved and had for 14 years with only 36K miles on it We bought the Lexus because our 14 year old daughter is in boarding school in NH and my husband thought it was best to have a new car that would be better equipped for driving in snow. However, I love this car and don't want to drive it in bad weather! (We have 2013 RX 450h)
