Question 16000km Service cost? (Canadian)

hi folks,

So, today I brought my car in for the 16000km service and my rx will stay over night at the dealership. I was quite surprised that when I was told the cost of this service will be $340 + filters(appx $90) and of course tax on top of that. That makes the total up to $481. I wonder how much you guys are paying when this service is performed. Making me wonder if I made the right choice leaving BMW and its 4yr free scheduled service.

Any inputs will be appreciated. Thank you guys and enjoy your Halloween.

I paid $279 plus taxes. Didn't need air or cabin filter. Not sure how many more of these I'll do. Paying $130 an hour to have someone measure brake pad thickness and tire depth on a six month old car seems a bit much. Mechanic where I usually have oil changed does a complete check and charges $80 for oil change with synthetic oil.

In the past, the 16000km service was always consider minor and was never cost over $200 for me. They must have made up this to make more money. I have checked the detail of what it is to be done within the service from Lexus website and to be honest, I don't think the price tag matches what is included in that service. Plus filters used to be part of the whole package in a service and now they want extra money for that? People should just go and buy a K&N reusable filter and never have to pay for that $50 filter every 16000km.

Well here at Rallye Lexus the 5,000 and 10,000 mile (8047km and 16094km) services are free for any RX from 2010 and on. A 16,000km service for an RX prior to 2010 is $139.95 and takes about 1 1/2 hours.
