OK, here are close-ups (or as close as I can get with an i-Phone) of the 3M Rock Guard...

From standing at the front in the middle and looking at this angle you can see (or maybe not) something that looks like some kind of line about 8 or so inches up the hood.

I took this one since this angle is the one where you CAN see a definitive line. I took this one because it is the only angle where you definitely see there is something there. Same angle with my wife's C70 has the same result.

Again, same angle showing the fender coverage.

Side mirrors from the same angle do not show as much of a line. I am attributing that to the massive curvature of the mirrors vs. the flat-ish hood and not so curvy fenders.

This is one taken of the hood from the front passenger corner. I am looking across the hood towards the driver side.

So there ya have the Rock Guard. Is it noticeable? Yeah it is depending on the angle. Is it ugly? That is subjective. In my opinion it looks better than a bunch of stone chips, even touched up ones. But again, it's subjective.

Awsome thank you very much. I have decided to put it on as well. I was worried that the hood line would stick out like a steak at a vegan restaraunt. They look great and I really like that color in the sunshine.

You can always do the whole hood to avoid the clear bra lines or have them wrap it around the edges. The latter will set you back a bit more and may involve removing the hood, bumper and fenders.

I talked to the guy who did all the tinting on my Benz's and he is going to do the whole hood, full bumper, fenders and mirrors for 695 canadian. Everyone else in town was that much or more to do 16" up the hood.

One good thing about ordering and waiting for a vehicle is that you can sure take your time deciding what options you want later such as car starter, paint protection, LED's etc and use the time to negotiate the best price. No worries about having to do it now to get this deal. You walk in and say: "I have a vehicle coming, this is what I want and what is your best price." They cant pressure you, as they cant supply what you need yet.
