Lexus RX350 braking slow to stop?
Hi everyone,
I feel like the brakes take at least an extra 2-3 seconds to fully engage and begin to stop the vehicle. Does this happen to anybody else? It's like as if I need to press the brake pedal down close to the floor before it begins to stop the car. I wish the brakes stopped the car earlier...
I heard about the Brake Recall and wasn't sure if this was the issue.

It's unlikely the recall pertains to you car unless you have an option package with VDIM and only a handful (other than the 450h models) were produced as it would have had to be a special order item. Here is the wording regarding the specifics on the recall.
The recall is specific to RX 350s equipped with Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) systems and manufactured from August 2010 through May 2011
All the same if you feel your brakes are not up to par than you should call your service department without delay. If you don't feel they are safe to drive there, they can arrange to have the car picked up and a rental brought to you during the original warranty portion of the car.
