Okay, I know this is NOT going to be a popular question, but, here goes! I have parchment colored seats in my 2012 RX and I wear jeans to work daily. I have cleaned denim stains using a micro fiber cloth and water, but, would like to find a light weight seat cover so I don't have to spend time cleaning my seats on a daily/weekly basis. I've been online and the covers I've been able to find are either incompatible with the side airbags or will not allow the seats to ventilate. I'm tempted to go back to the dealer and have them put on the protection package.
I have read related posts dated back to 2008 and so far have come up with nada, so for now I'm sitting on a towel! lol

No covers will allow the seats to ventilate properly. Or at least they will deminish the ability for them to ventilate. This question came up before and I don't believe any aftermarket company makes a seat cover for the 3rd Gen RX

If you look around in here, You'll find a few folks that have had problems with jeans and beige interior. I wear Jeans most of the time and mine still looks new with 30,000+ on the clock. I didn't buy the protection and I do/have wiped it with the 'leather' wipes maybe twice now just to put moisture back. My best guess is the ones that had problems probably had issues with color fastness in their jeans. Other than that I can't presume what caused it.

I have a set of lightweight cotton towels that match the interior exactly ... so you might want to see if you can find a better towel or set of towels than you are using now. I have one on my drivers seat and I can put it on and take it off immediately. This is an approach I've used with a number of prior Lexus vehicles and the seat will stay in like new condition. This approach does not change the character of the interior. Plus you can wash the towels as often as you like.

I had 2 cars with beige/light cream leather interior in the past. Actually, I would love to have this colour again if it was available when I was buying my RX. If you have done cleaning and protection properly on regular base, you have nothing to worry about.

I wear jeans most of the time and have no problems with my Parchment interior. I have had the 450h for just over 2 years now and have 23,500 niles on it. I vote with Cruiterm that it may be a color fastness thing with the jeans. I get the stone/pre washed jeans. I usually buy from Lands End or Eddie Bauer.

Why don't you take the car to a local upholstery shop and ask them to design a minimal cover for the cushion? I'm not sure if there are airbags in the cushion--there shouldn't be--but it wouldn't be to difficult to design around them. Try it. Upholsterers have to be very creative because every job is different.
