Default AUX or USB audio question

I'm asking the question since I'm too lazy to break out the million page manual so thank in advance for the help..

I have about 300 gig of music storred in un compressed WAV file format. I would like to use in the new RX but the largest IPOD I can buy is only 160 gig. Can I use an external USB Harddrive? or do I need some file system on the drive to read the music. I'm open to other options since I drive about 33K per year and would like some good tunes.

also what is the AUX tab on the radio? how do I access it and what type's of devices is it used for?

I broke down and read the manual, not alot of detail information unfortunetly. After a few hours of research I bought the only thing I could find; Archos 48 tablet, 500 gig storgae and per Archos customer service it will do bluetooth streaming.

179.00 from Newegg, on clearence with a 150.00 instant discount. I will update with results

It's of course up to you how you want to feed the music to the system. Blue tooth sounds ok however .... You have to be the DJ with the tablet and tell it what to feed to the radio. If you can connect a flash drive, then you can do it with the NAV system controller and see the music on the NAV screen. I have about 5 days worth of music on my iPod and it's only 1/3 full. Plus being able to see artist, album, etc., on the screen is pretty nice when you're on the road. If you go via blue tooth you won't see all that info or be able to select music via the radio system.

Default Hard drives

Lexus use to have embedded hard drives on some of there models. They would rip music. They still have a HDD but also have audio streaming through the blue tooth.

For myself. I don't need to have a Terabyte of music to go to the store. Besides XM I just have a small iPod with a couple hundred songs.
