I have a 3 week old 2012 RX 350 with 800 miles, After coming home from work and with my car in the garage for 4 hours, I heard a slight whirring noise likie a small motor running coming from the rear undercarriage of the car. Any ideas the cause?

efmeis, the good news is the noise is normal.

efmeis, I had exactly the same question shortly after I bought my RX. According to the SA at the dealership, it is the fuel system vapor purge cycle. According to the SA, most of the newer Toyota vehicles do that and sure enough, my new 4runner does it too.
