Just curious. What year did they change the rear window wiper from the bottom to the top?

Dun, I wouldn't really call it a "problem" for either car. They are simply different and I noticed it because as I was closing my friend's RX rear hatch I was being more careful than I needed to be and realized that his responds differently compared to mine. They both work, but that's just the difference I noticed.

Understood. Thanks for making me aware of a potential difference.

Default 2012 RX350 gas mileage

I am getting 22 MPG on my new 2012 RX with regular fuel. That is around town with no highway driving. Very happy with everything so far.

I have 500 miles on mine and im only getting 17 around the city.

I thought it needed to break in first but looks as if your getting great city mileage with your new rx.

Maybe I should give lexus a call

It warmed up here to 10-15C last few weeks so I was interested what milage I would get in the city only. I am averaging 7.4 liters/ 100 Km or 31.7 mpg US. I have to get my first oil change as I have about 8000Km on it. I did bump up the tire pressure to 35 cold from 32 and that did help. Using 87 octane gas here.

One thing I have noticed is that I can now drive long stretches without the engine kicking on that I could not when it is cold out. We dont really have freeways here so the red lights kill you when you have to restart.

On my first tank of gas owning the car I averaged 14.2 mpg - 25% highway and 75% city

not what I expected

My first fill up was today so we will see what happens from here...
