Introduction...
Hi all, new to the forum.
Just picked up a 2011 RX450h AWD with the following specs:
Stargazer Black w/black interior
Towing Prep Package
Comfort Package
Premium Package
Nav w/ 12 speaker Premium Audio
I moved up from a 2005 Dodge Magnum RT.
I like most of the RX450h with just a few exceptions. The sound system is sub-par, but since I bought used I couldn't order the ML system. I'll be doing a lot of searching looking for ways to improve the audio quality. Also, the NAV and display is only acceptable. The GUI looks very dated and rather clunky for a luxury vehicle.
Other than that I have really been enjoying driving it. I really do love the major increase in MPGs without sacrificing too much of the interior space I was used to.
I hope to learn a lot here about my new ride and hope for many years of driving enjoyment.

No, I don't play soccer!
Congrats and welcome to CL, Ciege. Make sure you post pictures of your 450h. It's a requirement
The Magnum is definitely roomy but the RX is much better. You'll love getting those extra miles. I'm not sure how many you have already but the break in period is 5K. As far as the stereo, you can add a subwoofer and change out speakers to improve the quality. It just depends on how much you're willing to spend. Nav is sufficient for me. In the meantime there's other things you can do like change out the interior and exterior lights to LEDs. A few of us have done it and it makes a big difference.

Welcome to our forum. With gas prices as they are you'll certainly appreciate your decision to purchase the (h) model. I realize it with every gas station I pass .

Lexus Test Driver
even though it might be tempting to just use the "search" for all the answers you may need.
it wouldn't hurt to read the manual, whenever you get a free time.
The forum is helpful for most of the DIY tricks like helping you change your oil etc.
But if you really want a definite answer, without writing to Lexus Corp directly, the answers are in the manual.
Enjoy your new Ride

Welcome. Thats a nice move up. My wife moved up from a Grand Cherokee and it was a huge move up for her! The Lexus NAV is a big step up compared to the Garmins we are used to. She was looking at a new 2012 CR-V EX-L with NAV, but I found some bad reviews on the CR-V and good reviews on the Lexus NAV. That won her over and we bought the RX instead. It seems really well built with superb mtls. It has an amazing amount of room but still fits in our somewhat tight 2 car garage with a big 2 door refrig in front of it along with my F150 on the other side. Her RX is averaging about 5mpg better than the Gand Cherokee, and you will really like the mpg of the H compared to the Magnum. The only thing she liked better about the Jeep is she didn't have to worry about dings and keeping it spotless :-)
