Oil change? I talked to the Lexus dealer, they told me that I have to use their oil Toyota make by Exxon 0w20 full synthetic and I can not use mobil1 0w20 full synthetic?

can I used mobil1 0w20 fully synthetic? Toyota 0w20 $9 for each quart.

You should ask them to put that in writing and send a copy off to Lexus Corporate Office and Mobil 1 Corporate Office (seriously). Maybe that is the only oil they have at the dealer to perform an oil change there, but a person is free to use any oil that meets the specs in the owners manual. A zillion folks use Mobil 1 synthetic in their autos (including Toyota or Lexus).

 

0w20 synthetic is 0w20 synthietic. Could be an agreement between the dealer or Lexus as mentioned above but telling you that you can ONLY use that brand is ridiculous.
