question on LED DRL, Mep or anyone?
I think MEP installed the LED for his DRL, so hope you or anyone else can help.
I have the 9005 68 SMD LED light intended to use for the DRL. Question is do I need v-led modules to have enough consistent power to prevent flickering? I think Mep installed his without the modules, but not sure....
Thanks guys.

I did install those without the module. You can only see the flickering through a camera, for some reason. To the naked eye it is not noticeable however, they are only working at half power so they are not as bright as they should be. I believe someone else on the forum here did install the module.

Huynh9999 & MEP7557,
Can the 9005 68 SMD LED bulb be used as a high beam? I want to upgrade my DRL to LED but i dont want to loose my high beam. Any suggestions? Thanks

For the NON-HID version style lights, is the PARKING LIGHT supposed to be on, along with the DRL?
I just noticed the other day that my DRL's are completely off (even tho the interior switch is not off). This was probably something turned off by the dealer for whatever reason, but don't really care for the yellow DRL, but would like the Parking light on during day (along with the LEDs im trying to install).

No they will not be powerful enough for the high beams. They will work great as driving lights. The LED lights they have in cars have special projector lenses that allow the light to be focused and bright enough. Get some Litech or some PIAA bulbs that will be whiter and brighter.

brklynrx02, the high beam still works, but not as bright. you can flash the high beam, but can't rely on it as major source of light for driving.

Are you sure its turned on? They wont work unless the headlights are on in my vehicle and if its on Auto the headlights wont come on until its dark out. Make sure the headlights are on lowbeams and then turn on fog lights. I have the similar bulbs in my fog lights and they work fine.

No, I don't play soccer!
Good point, Jairus. Check for the fog light icon in the dash cluster to make sure it's turned on. You can also take out one of the new bulbs and replace with the OE bulb. See if the OE bulb works.

Hm... don't know what's going on. I tried everything but still the same. I plugged in the OEM bulb, it works, but swap the LED ones in, it dead.
Maybe return this one and buy different ones.
thx.

try the LED one in the other side. If it still doesnt work try lighting it up with a battery charger. I would think that if the original one lights up then the LED is bad as they dont need any extra power or anything special.

Yeah, i tried one side is OEM and the other is LED, but the LED one not work.
I may try lighting it up directly from the battery.... thx
Updated: I've just went to the garage and tried to connect the LED directly from the battery, none of them are working.
What are the chances that you ordered 2 LED bulbs that none of them are working? 1 in a million? I should have bought a lottery ticket then.
Thanks guys,
