I can't tell you on that but Tirerack recommends 255/50/19 tires for the OEM Rims and that is what I am going to use when I replace my OEM tires.

What sizes you're planning to go?

Oh I want to upgrade my wheels to 20's. But most 20s come with 8.5 inches wide and OEM is only 7.5. So I just worry that they will not fit perfectly inside the fender. Cause i don't like it when you can see the wheels sticking out of the fender.

Why not measure how close the wheel is to the edge of the car now, then pop a wheel off and measure the backspace of the current wheel and compare it to the width and backspace of the wheels you are interested in. To measure the backspace, just put a straight edge across the inside flange of the wheel and use a ruler to measure the distance from that edge to the mounting face of the wheel.

This site shows two different offsets for the 20 x 8.5 wheel with the 5 x 114 bolt pattern:

http://www.wheelsnext.com/wheels-rim...OW-Chrome.html

It sounds backwards, but the one with more offset (45 mm) would stick out less. The only issue might be that it could rub on the inside of the wheel well. Can you ask the guys at Big Brand wheels which version they are selling? While you are at it get all the info:

Offset and if it is a positive or negative offset (most likely would be positive).

Be sure and post a picture if you decide to get them installed. It is always interesting to see custom additions.

Sure will. But I'm gonna bring my car to a custom wheel store to see what you say about it. Thanks everyone.

Default My Experience:

I just installed 20''x9'' Lexani CVX-55 with tire size 265/45 20 Nexen Roadian HP SUV on my 2010 RX350.

Handling was MUCH better!!! More composed during corning and more precise steering on narrow curvy highway construction area. All these without much compromise on comfort. Now it's a Lexus Ride with Audi or Mercedes handling(Still can't compare with BMW I must admit).

Road noise was increased slightly because of the Nexen performance tire groove pattern. Nothing can really beat The OEM Michellin Latitude on road noise.

I had wanted to go with 20''x10'' with 275/45 20. But everybody I talked to suggested that it "might" rub. But from what I saw from my car after installing the 20''x9'' is that: 20 x10 will pop out a little bit, but clearance with brakes, fenders, suspensions should not be a big problem, provided that the custom wheel shop made it correctly.

Some facts that I learned during my extensive research:

1.The documented max would be 9.5'' wide for 2010- RX350.

2. A 21'' rim will compromise comfort to an intolerable extent and won't look necessarily good as the 20''.

3. 265/45 20 would be 746mm overall diameter as opposed to the OEM 741mm. 275/45 20 would be 756mm overall diameter.255/45 20 would be 738mm overall diameter.

4. So I would say 20''x9' paired with 265/45 20 would be a perfect maximum size, taking into account of maximizing performance, appearance, without risking any mechanical issue.

20''x9' paired with 255/45 20 have too lean a tire profile (which don't look good I think), and an3mm decrease. I personally just wanted to beat the ML, X5, MDX, Q5's OEM 255mm tire. So I went for a 265mm.

20''x9' paired with 275/45 20 have beefier tire(which don't look good I think), and an18mm increase (Maybe a bit large for you if you really care about odometer and speedometer reading accuracy)

20'' x10' paired with 275/45 20, I'm not sure... but if I had a second chance , I'll give it try.(consult with wheel shop first)

5. Buy a concave rim, such as the Lexani CVX-55, they look more OEM and go together with the full-bodied RX profile. Buy a lighter color to look more OEM. RX with Chrome or Purely black wheels lose its characteristic elegance.

6. CarID has the most selection. Element Wheels give you the best service and cheapest price. Tire-Easy gives the best price on tires. Tire-rack gives the best price on TPMS sensors. Installing rims/tires/TPMS whould cost you no more than $100. Don't program your sensor at any dealership, they charge double to quadruple, and it takes only 5minutes at a tire service (4min for 4 wheels, 1 min to transfer the data to the car)

Bear in mind that 20x9.5 are not widely available, and 265/45 20 are rare also(but in my case, I found the Nexen, which have very good reviews).

Hopefully this will help you to avoid all the troubles I went through...

BTW, If you really care about appearance of your RX. Check out the RX450h SE-I special winter edition offered in the UK only. You can buy those OEM under-run plates from an UK dealership and let them ship to the US.

Default Taken by my iphone after washing my car

Hi,
These are before I install the mud flaps which I highly recommend for both aesthetic purpose and for better protection for paint.

Rims are 20''x9'' Lexani CVX-55.
Tires are Nexen Roadian HP SUV, size 265/45 20

I'm not sure about offset. No rubbing at all. I bought it from element Wheels, and they configured the wheels for me.
