Ok update time new radio installed. Problem solved. Had the car out in 108* heat today. No problem. They forgot to eject my CDs before yanking the old unit so now they're going to mail them to me. Then I checked a thread about CDs showing "no data" on display. Not the player problem, it's the cd problem. Some display some not. So I burned some new ones off iTunes and checked "include data" on the settings. All reading perfectly now. Thanks to all for this great forum.

Burned CDs can be problematic in many regards. Lots of variables. Sometimes it is the CD player. Sometimes it is the CD burner. Sometimes it is the software used to burn the CD. Once you find a set of parameters which work for you stick with them. This even means limiting what software updates you install and the brand CD you use to burn.

Another problem with burned discs are their thickness. Home burned CDs are fractionally thicker than production run mastered CDs. Add a label and you are just asking for troubles in many slot load CD players.

My dealer replaced a 'crazy' radio head unit on my 2008 ES in Sept., 11. It just started doing all this nutty stuff again. Change the station and cd ejects, then shuts off, that sort of thing. Do you think warranty-replaced parts come with their own fresh warranty, or would it be pointless to try to pursue another freebee?

Usually only 90 days on the parts. You can ask, however, do not be surprised if they tell you that it is out of warranty as your vehicle is probably out of warranty as well.

If you don't get any help on the warranty from the dealer. You might try these guys before buying another unit.

Has it happened to any of the 2013 or 2014 models?

Mine ejects CD intermittently especially when temperature is hot.

Can someone post the TSB or their work order? My SA wants to know the TSB he can apply to my car.
