No, I don't play soccer!
RXSF ordered his '11 450h in Stargazer Black sight unseen. It was a new color back then. He seems to be happy with it. I've seen it up close too. Looks black at night but has a tinge of brown/bronze that sparkles in the sun. It's a nice color.

I have the Stargazer and am very happy with it. I don't have any issues with swirls. If you have a good starting point (i.e. the dealer shop didn't put swirls in your finish) then proper care will prevent them over the course of a year and a good polish/wax job is all you will need. Good luck!

I have the same color but in Canada it is called Starlight Mica. Do yourself a favor though and go to Sewells and order your self some body side moldings. I washed mine today and notices an actual dent in the molding. Nothing in the paint thank goodness.

Looks great Marq! I'm OCD about keeping cars clean and this Lexus is starting to drive me crazy. First black car for us. It's amazing when clean but starts to show dust as soon as ur done washing it.

I've had black, white, black, silver, black, white, and now black RX's. Silver was the easiest to keep clean and white a close second. On stargazer black I'm finding the bronz flec in the paint sometimes makes it look dusty. I'm not as crazy about keeping cars clean as I used to be. In fact I usually only take it to Bredemann Lexus' automatic car wash which is about 15 miles away. Doesn't seem to cause too many swirl marks.

Hmmmm. Let me guess. When you got your first Lexus, you forgot you had a family and hung out at all the detailing forums during the night and practiced all the detailing techniques and products during the day. You spent more than $2000 in detailing products, the initials "MF" took a new meaning, and you acquired the mother of all MFs collection. And after a lot of sweat and effort you realized that it's just a car and that "good enough" is much preferable to perfection, and on to the next hobby/pastime/whatever. I don't miss those days one bit.
