Mac12, thank's for your input. I feel better now. I always worry that I paid more than I should. I think I can bargain a little bit more. It's for my boss.

I got an additional $1000 off on January 2nd after the trade was made and the deal was agreed upon -- it was a promotion if you financed through Lexus. Low interest rate and you can pay off early with no penalty. Sweet !!! Got the F-sport model.

For the benefit of everyone when I was shopping for the fSport during the december to remember promotion, i was able to negotiate a 52,200 msrp down to 46,500 +tax title and license. This was at cerritos and beverly hills lexus. I called all the socal dealerships.

Good evening all--
I'm rejoining the Lexus family as well: just traded in a 2012CT 200h for a 2013 Lexus RX450h AWD -- Nebula gray/ black interior). Option packages:
Sport/ Comfort/ Navi/ Xenon/ Intuitive/ Premium -BSM/ Tow Prep/ Wood- Leather/ Preferred/ Edge/ Cargo net
MSRP 58,100 -- got it 53,008 plus the $1K loyalty rebate-- pretty sweet deal in my book.

msrp was $50,930. price was quoted was $45,600 (w/an addt'l $1k rebate if i finance through LFS which would be $44,600) and then add tax + license fees.

that's about a 10% discount off msrp....should i aim lower? maybe counter with $44,500 (before the $1k discount)? you think they'd bite?

That appears to be very good initial offer. I'm trying to see where the difference is in msrp with yours vs mine. I got comfort pkg, prem pkg--bsm etc, 19" wheels. My msrp was 49180 . Anyway I got 10% disc before $ 1000 incentive brought overall to 12% or so. You may have 500-1000 you can play with...like you said ask for 1000 additional and maybe they will meet you halfway. Either way its a ver good deal as is now. Good Luck !

Hey Deewlay,

Here's how you play this: you've got a good offer on the table now, so what you do is contact the Internet manager at all your local dealers, tell them the offer you have, and let them know you will be buying from the dealer that gives you the best price. You need to let all the dealers COMPETE for your sale. They will give you a quote and you will get several that will beat your current offer. Then you take that lower offer back to your current dealer and make them compete if they want your business. Email is a fast an effective way to do this. Then throw your best offer out one more time to all the competing dealers and go buy your car from the one with the lowest price. If you really want to squeeze out the most from this wait until the last couple days of the month to run it - that's when they need to make their goal numbers and are more willing to deal. Give them a reason to lower their price, the reason is another dealer is quoting you a better price than they are. Now go get it!
