Anyone get a discount on a 2013 RX??

I don't just walk into the Dealerships anymore if I am trying to buy a new vehicle. The internet is a beautiful thing. Both of our new Lexus vehicles we got our prices through the internet department.
I even received a great deal for my daughter's new Honda Civic through numerous e-mails.
This Foum,as well as Edmunds, KBB, Amexauto, and other useful websites will give you a great idea of what a good deal is for you and the dealer. The sales person will never mention any other hidden money they might be willing to allot you for the deal. On my Wife's new 2012 Is-250 we received most of the holdback money the Lexus dealer had, besides the Marketing assistance.
The end of the month is the best time to deal as they want to meet their sales quota for that particular month.
In short make sure you're in the Driver's seat, not the sales person ,or F&I person, but fairness to the Dealer and you as a smart consumer makes the best sense.

Tomorrow is the end of the month!
Since a sales month doesn't end on a weekend, tomorrow is the last day. Just made a great deal on an RX on sat, 27 mos 10k/year on a car with nav pkg, premium with blindspot, comfort pkg, park assist, pref pkg, Sign and Drive with 9 MSD came to 509 per month. With an interest rate so low MF .00003 and residual 68% it made sense to roll all fees in. I can post specific selling price etc if anyone needs it but you should be able to do the math with the info above.
The above deal was negotiated via Internet/email in NJ and on the day of we walked in picked a color combo my mom liked (it's a gift for her) and drove out after signing paperwork.

Whitigir you need to email every dealer you are willing to drive to tomorrow. See what their reply is first. in my reply email I then ask them for detailed info: Msrp of the car, selling price of the car, money factor and residual if leasing, and a break down of all fees. Tell them the terms you want if lease months and mileage. Tell them all they will earn your business by the end of the day tomorrow, only if numbers are right. This should all be done via email. Ask what colors they have and follow up with what equip package is in the color car you choose. I don't have the paperwork it's n the glovebox but I think the car was 50,xxx. Selling price was 45xxx? Then 1000 dollar rebate. All fees rolled in.
Like someone above said make sure everything is written out before you sit with finance. All finance does is try to sell you extras like service plans, protections, etc

Nope, emailed all 3 dealers..no response.....drove to all three....best offer were 500 below invoice plus rebate....they said..." I am loosing money to sell this car to you, i have to pay my employees too !" So i litterally walked out from all 3. So freaking tired and dissappointed. Look like they know there s not much competitions for them here, so they are not willing to discount.
Also called a few other places in PA, and Cincinati 5 hours away. Seems like they didnt take me too seriously as a far away customer

Hey guys, I recently had my ISF in for some warranty work and got a 2013 RX350 fully loaded as a rental.
It drove like a dream and I really wanted to go in and buy it as a DD and have my IS-F as a weekend car. Anyways, I came across this thread to see what people are paying for their cars and from what I see its kind of who you talk to and how you haggle kind of thing.
I'm looking to get a RX350 FWD with Navi/HID/leather/backup camera/parking assist/blind spot mirror sensor.
Anyone know what kind price I'd be looking at? Nothing else other than the above matters really. I also would appreciate it if someone local (orange county/los angeles area) can direct me to a salesman that can help me out with an awesome deal since it seems California people tend to get better pricing on these cars. Much appreciated thanks!

ISFpat. I am too looking to buy one. The general good deal on these RX, where people can deal, is around 8-10% off of MSRP before 1000 rebate. I have been trying to get that, but it is tough.
Try truecar.com, and american zag to help you look for a good deal, the car you indicated would be anywhere from 49,830 to around 51,350 MSRP. I see some people getting discount anywhere from 4 to 5.5k off of that MSRP before rebate. It depends.
Myself, i would not deal on the RX if someone only offer me 3-5% off of MSRP before rebate. I am sure that most of the time where u go, u would get that offer. They will also include 1000 rebate to make your number look like you have had 7-8% off of MSRP. That happened to me around all the local dealers. And that is a horrible deal

This has been said over and over again in this thread but here we go again: To get the absolute best deal you have to get the dealers to compete with one another. There is no one dealer or sales person that is going to ever give you 10% off the msrp out of the gate. You have to work for it. End of the month or end of the quarter are best times, end of the year is the trifecta. They are a sales orgainization with goals to meet. This is when they cut prices to get sales to meet goals to earn more money from the manufacter. Go to edmunds and put in a request for what you want and you will get calls from dealers. Use their prices against the other dealers and let them know you will buy from the one that has the lowest price. Do with with 10 - 15 dealers and you will get the price you are after. Again - he who works for it gets the best deals.

There you go ! Way to not give up, nothing wrong with that deal at all. Your in that 8-10% disc which imo makes it a good deal. Its a learning process, you will even be prepared when you go get yourself a new vehicle. I'm sure your wife will love her new Rx , I know my wife enjoys her's more that I ever thought she would. Congrats !!

have y'all ever noticed, when we buy a car from the dealer we want the lowest price right up front. But the dealers advertise a trade-in type of price where they have plenty of room to offer a fat price for a trade-in that is not so good. And worse yet, the car buying websites all assume you need to buy a car from a dealer down the street, which totally discourages any competitive pricing on new cars.
On top of this, the big city newspapers, who run new car dealers specials in their printed papers, will not let you look at the dealer specials from the printed sections - they always try to steer you to some generic car buying website like Cars.com who won't advertise dealer special pricing on new cars and assumes you need to buy from a dealer next door when one 600 miles away might save you $5000-$10,000 on a new one.
The factories are trying hard to control new car price advertising and will quickly move to squash any dealer who tries to win business from other dealers' territories with low advertised prices. When you think about it, this is like what the mafia and other powerful gangs do to to control competition. This is anti-capitalism at its finest, here in the information age when we should be able to easily shop for good prices around the country from internet sites like eBay, Autotrader and Cars.com Here is where we could use some strong new laws to help consumers. Who would disagree? But Washington is bought and paid for, on both sides of the isle.
At the same time, when we are selling our personal cars, we too always want a fat retail price which is unrealistically high, while buyers often need to trade and finance at lousy rates, making sales of our personal autos difficult. So we usually have to settle for less when we need to sell.
No wonder so many people hate the car buying & selling process!

Is this the best deal?
Hi, Yesterday we went looking for a deal on Honda-CRV & my hubby ended up buying Lexus RX-350, AWD 2013 model in the spur of the moment. I had done no research on Lexus because it was way above our league. The rep shows some MSRP & Invoice numbers & finally ended up paying $47500 including taxes in Cincinnati. This comes with the leather heated seats & Rear Entertainment package. After coming home I start looking for the actual price people are paying is it shows max $41100. Did I get rip off?? I haven't picked my Vehicle because they are yet to install the Entertainment pakage? There is no Navigation system. Do I still have time to negoitiate OR it is too late? Need to meet the dealer today because hubby forgot to sign one of the papers...
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for your help.

I suggest you look a this thread... https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...a-2013-rx.html
That thread has more information than you will ever receive here in the quick manner you require. It contains a lot of information on prices people are paying across the nation. The other thing is you say the new RX won't have Nav, but will have rear seat entertainment that the dealer is installing. I suggest you verify if that is the Lexus version (I bet not) or an aftermarket version. If the latter, just be sure you will be happy with what you are getting.
Good luck in your pursuit!
