Default msrp 49,915 paid 44,415 + 1500 Rebate

This site has been very helpful.

I just leased a RX 350 AW for
msrp 49,915 Selling price 44,415 + 1500 Rebate ($7000 off)
NJ Tri country Lexus

My lease term is

27 month
10,000 K miles
485/month
1150 with First month payment, Title, reg , doc included

I contact the dealer from their website. They sent me spec sheet, price quote.
And the internet depart made the purchase super easy and smooth.

No tricks.

Yeah I felt like I got a good deal given the amount of time I wanted to spend negotiating a price. I sent them a target price online (46K) and said if they could get close I'd come and buy that day. They offered 47K and I held up my part of the deal.

As you said as long as you are good with the deal you get, then it's a good deal. I would rather pay a little more than to sit there hours upon hours...especially with a 1 year old and 3 year old! They certainly don't want to sit around that long, haha!

Based on my research, including AMEX, TrueCar, KBB and Edmunds, that's about the average discount. The next closest dealer is 130 miles away, so there isn't a lot of competition.

I'm trying to get another $500 or so out of the dealer, but it sounds like that would be nothing special.
Dont be down. You probably pay less for a lot of things compared to living in Metropolitan cities. Socal may have a lot of competition for dealers, but so is running business and housing price... not fun. =)

Exactly, I am with a 2month old and a 3 year. I feel lucky that the 3-mile-away dealer matched the deal. If they ask for 2-3 hundred more, I would still go with them.

It has been posted several times about emailing out of area dealers for their best prices and then presenting them to your local dealer in Des Moines and/or Omaha. I had better deals from Chicago and Denver (via email) and used them to my advantage in the past. If the local dealer(s) thinks you're prepared to walk out he will work with you. If he won''t walk, and they may call you later. It saved me thousands in the past. The time & effort aren't worth it to some people or they like their salesman/dealer to much. Read old posts in this thread and do what is best for you.

Good Luck ! Dorothy

$4,000 off (w/ financing) sounds like a good deal in your location ... don't be to hard on yourself or the dealer. Offer them the $500 more off option ... give them a little time to think it over.

Rather than just $ off, just picked up a fully loaded RX350 (MSRP just under 52K) right at invoice. My 2 local dealers wouldn't budge under invoice. Did get clear bra and tire/rim insurance since my wife has curbed about every wheel she can in the last 20 years I've known her, so that might have helped their bottom line ...

Default 2013 RX 350 Starfire Pearl / Parchment Interior

I just purchased in San Diego :

2013 Lexus RX 350 MSRP $48,344 for $42,637 (below Invoice) plus Tax and License with only 4 miles on it and it was built April 2013 so it's only a couple weeks old. I received my price before I went to the dealership online. I missed the $1,000 Factory Rebate by a couple days but they still gave me the extra $1,000 off. I wasn't interested in a lease - but they were sure pushing for me to Lease instead of buy. I think they make more $$$ of leases than purchases?

It came with 19" Michelin tires - I was pleased because I heard they were better tires?

I bought it at South County Lexus as a price match to Cerritos. More importantly of my post was just to share this is a doable number. I don't think there is one dealer always offer better deals than other.

No it's not that great of a deal. A sale price of $44,000 before the rebate would be a good deal.
