500 miles a week x 52 weeks = 26000 miles
87 gas is average .20 cheaper than 91 = $5200 of saving.

So for me in one year I can get the money back....even though I'm losing values as I rack those mileages up like MF...
I think your numbers are a little off.... If you drive 26,000 miles a year and avg 20 MPG overall that is 1300 gallons of fuel per yr X .20 cents difference between regular and premium that's a total savings of $260.00 per yr!

The $5200. figure is really the total you would spend on fuel for the entire year driving 26000 mi @20 MPG and figuring $4.00 a gallon.

Also it is that you drive. Drive to Vegas in the RX from LA and still had 1/4 tank left averaging 75 mph.

^^ I noticed when I was over at Pleasanton Lexus (SF Bay Area) a couple of days ago that they still had a good supply of 2012 RX's and ES's. It doesn't surprise me that the saving are in the $8,500 + range (with tax savings).

Just got off phone with Lexus in Pittsburgh. They are offering me a RX 350 AWD with Blindspot mirrors, MSRP: $49545.... they said they will take $1600 off, but I want remote start and mats...the price ends up being $48545 + tax

There is also a RX 350 F Sport, $51925 same thing ending up being $50925.

He said in 2013 Lexus cut their margins from $3500 to 2700 without raising the price so they can give less discount. Previously I got $2500 off my 2010, 2008, 2006 RXs...

Thoughts on if that is a good deal or not?

I used Costco's car buying service and got $2,190 off of sticker on a new 2013 RX-350. Got a good trade, too, and doublechecked by getting a purchase offer from a nearby Carmax. The two were very close. I also got an offer from AutoTrader and it was laughably low.

Just curious, your other post says you got $4259 off msrp but this one says $3780, so did anything change? One of my friend is looking at Sewell for a 2013.

The difference is roughly $500 , which is roughly the free stuff they are throwing in with the club price without installation.

Thanks
I have no way of knowing the specifics of some of these really big discounts off of sticker but I suspect that some have fallen for that old dealer trick of giving a big discount on the new car and then stealing the buyer's trade-in. When that happens, your discount is drastically reduced if not erased completely. Another trick is to sell the buyer a bunch of worthless, overpriced options such as rustproofing and then discounting after those have been added. I don't think anyone is getting a REAL discount on a new RX that is anywhere near $4K. But I could be wrong.

Sure strange that the west coast discounts so much and you have to fight for every dollar on the east coast?

Riversair, Rohrich has a lock in the southwestern PA market. When we bought our 2001 RX we went to Canton/Akron and saved $600 at the time. When we purchased the 2011 we bought it from Rohrich on West Liberty Ave. It was 2.7% above the invoice not including and dealer hold back. You can try to talk to the General manager there if you can. His name is Tim Brady and seems to be an OK fellow. We concluded our deal in about twenty minutes. If you decide to do so, tell him that you got his name from Col. Falsetti and let us know how you make out.

Quick Reply: Anyone get a discount on a 2013 RX??
