Phone won't connect to bluetooth if turned on after car started

It's always a good idea to in-pair the phone from the car and than pair again.
I always use Bluetooth to listen to podcasts, every time I start the car the phone connects and the podcast resumes automatically before I shift reverse.
Today I turned the Bluetooth off on my old LG G5 to test it. I started the car and waited a few minutes until the car displayed "Failed to connect message" and then I turned the Bluetooth on and it connected immediately. Maybe it works better on 2015, I don't know.
