RX 350 vs 450h deals

IMO if one gets an "extended service policy", you have to read a lot of terms and understand it well... Especially if it is an aftermarket non-OEM version. I have a Lexus Platinum on my present RX400h, and will have the same on my new RX450h. Yes, I get that is controversial to many. Anyways, if you want the Lexus "factory" version, only Lexus Financial sells them and only through Lexus dealers from what I know. You can read what's covered and see MSRP of various options on the Lexus.com site... Just go to Financial Services and you'll get there. Each dealer can set their own price, so it's a negotiation point generally with the finance manager. I suspect most dealers try to get the maximum they can from the FEW policies they likely sell. The website I pointed to earlier happens to be one that goes the other way... They have elected to sell volumes of Lexus Extended Service Plans and therefore their price is the lowest I've ever seen -- and this guy does it across multiple brands in the large network of dealerships that he is a part of. It's a little more work having to send things hardcopy via mail, but to save hundreds of dollars, well, it's a no-brainier for me to consider. Just got a quote for my new RX450h, and it's much lower than anything I've paid before. No obligation to fill out the form on that website and get a quote you can then use to negotiate with the dealer you get your vehicle from, and then you can always buy the policy later from the other dealer if they can't match the price... Just has to be done before the normal factory warranty expires. You'll see those details on the website or can talk to the guy once you send in the short web form. BTW, the quoted price of my Platinum/8yr/$0 deductible for my new RX450h, it's well under your $3K assumption.

From other forums here at club Lexus many people have dealt with these people:
If you want an extended warrranty, check with these people...
Troy Dietrich Greenfield Toytoa 413-772-0231
Jerry Johnson Midwest Toyota 1-800-530-5789
They sell the same warranties, I have a 7 year/100,000 mile warranty
Do a search on the names and you will find people save lots of money over the quoted price. I went to my dealer with the info from these and others and got a better deal right then and there because they knew I would go elsewhere. These guys sell the legit Toyota/Lexus warr.
Hybrid is the way to go.

Awesome. Jerry Quoted $2k on the 450h. I thought it'd be $3k+.
What do you guys typically do for tires/brake pads/oil / (is there any other maintenance from typical wear and tear?) since this isn't covered under warranty.

Oil is every 10K with full synthetic in the US and every 5K in Canada. No I dont know why. Brakes should last you close to 100K on the 450H as you use the regenerative braking alot. Tires are a funtion of the quality of the tire not the vehicle but guys here are getting between 30-50K on the factory tires. A full set of new shoes is only a grand so I would not worry much about that.
