All,
I am trying to figure out the ports that are located in the center console for my wife's 2010RX. I have not had much time to look closely but I have gone through the manuals so don't gig me on that :-)
There are 2 cables that are located in the center console. One is a standard USB female that allows me to plug in a USB drive for music. That works great. But I have an old unused iPhone that I would prefer to use. The other cable that is available is a barrel type connector that is similar to the old cigarette lighter adapter that I should be able to charge the iPhone with ( I have a cigarette lighter charger that I can use ). However, last night I turned on the car and it seems there is no power coming through that barrel charger as the light on the adapter did not illuminate. What easy step am I missing here in keeping this older iPhone (basically an iTouch now) charged and located in the center console??
Thanks for your help. I appreciate any and all responses.

Tom, I don't think it's something you missed. I noticed the power outlets were finicky when I used the extension supplied by Lexus to get around reaching into the depths. Mine is currently sitting on the bottom of the console unused. I plug the chargers directly into the power outlets now.

thebomb,
Plug your iPhone into the USB port and use the "barrel" to plug in any other device that needs charging. The USB will play music and charge you iPod/iPhone. The barrel will only provide power. Both however turn off when the car is turned off.
If you look there is also an AUX jack next to the USB port. You can plug in another audio device into AUX, however no power comes out of the port.
