The best are where no money is spent for advertizing. That would be Consumer Reports. You'll need to buy a subscription but you'll get unbiased reports. That being said plus as an owner of a RX 450h, I'm not 100% sold on their report. They did not learn the 'art' of hybrid driving prior to reporting on mileage. It is a different driving style. Other than that, they were spot on.

I would also recommend Edmunds.com for their insight into new vehicles. You can also compare 4 or 5 vehicles, print out the complete specs and then compare one to another. They also enable you to print out required service intervals on many vehicles and show dealer costs for each service. They do reviews of many vehicles, including road tests etc. I would definitely recommend this site.

Then I checked out YouTube videos. Owners, dealers, whatever I could find.

When i was shopping for the RX, I was also looking for two additional vehicles. So selecting 3 vehicles involved a lot of work. I found the consumerreports.org online site a real time saver. If you just want additional background on a car, youtube.com often has many videos. After reviewing CR reliability data for some cars on my list, I just did not waste my time looking at them further. As others have mentioned there are a number of good sites. For price info, I have used kbb.com.

Youtube
rather than reading, it's better to see the exterior and interior of the car prior to your walk to the dealership.
it's also a good thing to actually see how the cars handle on sharp curves, race track and the occasional city driving... so you know how to "push" the car at the dealer lot.

try at least 5 car reviews from legitimate reviewers like kbb.com, roadfly, carbuyer.com.uk, drivencarreview, consumerreports.org etc.

in the end it's your very subjective test drive that matters
Don't let the car enthusiasts persuade you in a car that you never really like to begin with.
