Wood Gone
This is for all the new 2013 owners. Did Lexus remove the wood from the center console/ cup holder in between the rear seats? When I was at the showroom I could not find one with the wood on it. Not sure if it was now in an options package or not available anymore.
Thanks for any info.

If the 2013 RX's you looked at had the light gray leather(not sure about other colors), the wood is stained very dark, almost black. Since the surrounding leather/vinyl is also black, it's tough to tell there is wood in the interior.

Not base Models
The RX's I was looking at had Nav, Ventilated Seats and a Wood Steering Wheel, not exactly a stripped model. Anyway here is a picture to verify we are talking about the same thing. Thanks.

My 2013 RX450h with Luxury Package has wood trim on the rear cupholder matching the rest of the interior.
While Lexus.com does not specify what's up with this (and at least some of us know they don't have details in-sync across all marketing materials), the original Product Information sheet that came out from the Geneva Auto Show specifies that the "Rear cupholder wood trim" is new to the 2013 and it only shows up in the optional Luxury Package (which includes Premium, Nav, and Comfort).

This whole thing about wood trim on the rear cup holders may be another of the few trim differences between the 350 and 450h... My post above has info that it appears this is only on the 2013 RX450h with the Luxury Package, as the similar product spec sheet that came out for the RX350 only indicates the "rear cup holders" are new to the 2013 MY, with no indication about the wood trim. Again, Lexus marketing material has been far from consistent with the 2013's, so use at your own risk -- and who knows if "new" just really means "now, only available with THIS option package". . Wood on the rear cup holder is far from a deal breaker for me, as I bet that gets opened less than once per year in my case, but it's an interesting tidbit just the same.

I don't have the Luxury Package and do NOT have wood on the rear seat arm rest. I have the Comfort and Premium Packages and the sticker lists the wood and leather wheel and shift **** for an additional cost. I do have the wood trim on the center console and around the power window switches.

One thing by itself would be a niggling thing but there are so many changes including my HID's with AFS that dim and swivel and are no longer available that make me appreciate my 2010 450h in a renewed way .

I have a 2012 RX 350 and it does have the wood console in the rear seat area and the wood trim on the arm rests. The car has the Custom and Premium packages on it along with the wood steering wheel.
