The RX maybe totaled but the parking attendant survived an unbelievable 4-story plunge which proves Lexus are well made machines and protected the occupant. How can you guys tell that RX is a 3rd gen RX? I sure can't tell since it is so banged up. Thought the rims were 2nd gen but I could be wrong. Count ourselves lucky that we drive an RX. Wish the two parking attendants speedy recovery.

The question is "why such a thing can happen?" Design /conceptual error?, behavior? etc. it seems that the system is not so safe apparently if such event are happening!

Definitely a 3rd generation based on the head and tail lights.... Very likely a 2010 model since you see the LEXUS badging on the left corner of the tail gate. As far as I know, 2010 models were the last to carry that badge.

They said it was a Lexus on the news. Seeing it on tv it was 3rd generation. To land upside down and the driver only having minor injuries says a lot for the car which was my first reaction. Some reports say he rammed the door open with the car. We don't really know the details.

No doubt that this was a 3rd Gen. I'm glad the two garage workers are alive. I know the owner must be pissed.
I wonder what's the process of the claim. Will the insurance pay the owner the depreciated value of the vehicle and then try to collect from the insurance of the garage company? I hope in no way they try and sue the workers.

Correct me if i'm wrong..
But the way i understood Valet services ( you know those very small letters we call fine print) is that whatever happens to the car, they have little to no liability at all.
This is why i haven't used Valet for years now.
I would rather find a self park garage ( which has the same coverage as those Valet guys) and have peace of mind.
Here's a true story.
My brother still uses valet.. And you would think these "teenagers" will park your cark in designated parking spaces...right? Guess again.
Car got a ticket, valet attendant removed the ticket anc didn't give it to my brother.
So a month later my brother got a letter from the mail. Fine wax 3 times its original value because the city thought he simply ignored paying the first ticket within 14 days.
Imagine the headache.. And yeah, he did tip the valet attendant $5 when he got the car that night.
