Deffective Battery ?? ,The car wont start for the 2nd time
My car wont start for the first time last Sunday night, so the next day I call lexus for booze up. I was going to bring the car directly for the inspection , but the technician advised me to wait if its happen for the 2nd time. Unfortunately today when I was going for a drive , the car wont start again. I barely can hear the "beep" sound when I unlocked the car. What do you guys think ? its should be covered under warranty right?
fyi my car just one year old , only driven 7000 km so far.

My battery died this morning. 2010 RX350 with 33000 miles and 38 months old. Lexus road service(AAA) came to the house and jumped it off. Drove it to the dealership and they replaced the battery free of charge.

A car battery should last at least 2 years and most last longer than that. I have two other cars and the batteries lasted for ten years. I bought a trickle battery charger (about $30). Sometimes I leave the lights on or some other electrical device on and the battery would be dead or weak in the morning, the trickle battery charger will charge it back up in 24 hours.
But if the battery keeps on dying, its either the battery is bad or your alternator is not charging the battery.

I have a 2 month old 2012 RX that wouldn't start. The starter made a horrible screaching noise. It turned out to be a bad battery. I would go right to the dealer. No sense putting wear on the starter.

Unfortunately, the batteries that Lexus puts in their vehicles just can't seem to keep up with all the gizmos in the RX, I guess. I went through two batteries throughout the four years that I drove my '07 RX, both were covered under the warranty. I wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't happen with my '10 RX pretty soon, as I'm at a little over 30,000 miles on the '10 RX.

The 12V battery in my '08 400h discharged after ~3.5 years. I jumped it a couple of times and then went to the dealer. They replaced it under warranty. I was shocked...no pro-rating or hassle, they just took care of it no charge. Almost makes up for the exorbitant maintenance costs.
