Don’t cut rotors. They loose the temper and may warp. This happened on my old 4Runner. Changed to powerstop on the front and never had another issue. Had older 90,000 miles on those with ceramic pads and no issues. Sold it at 160,000 and never changed the rear pads at all.

Rotors are cheap (don't buy from dealer). Always start a brake job with new rotors and hardware...you don't ever have to wonder if you should have bought new...
