The recall of the 2010 Lexus RX 350, above, and RX 450 H affects about 154,000… (David Dewhurst, Lexus/Associated…)
Toyota Motor Corp. has run into another pedal-entrapment issue, this time with its Lexus sport utility vehicles.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it requested that Toyota, which owns the Lexus luxury brand, recall model year 2010 Lexus RX 350 and RX 450 H vehicles "for a serious safety issue involving potential pedal entrapment by the floor mat."

Just got my car back after a oil change + 27 point inspection. They also performed recall service while they had the car. SA mentioned that they shaved off little bit of plastic from the accelator pedal.

I received a letter from my dealer about the recall today. It's campaign number 9LG. No details were included but as an incentive, they're going to fill the gas tank. I'm not due for an oil change for another few months so I'll probably wait.

When I went to pick up my car this week, SA advised me that they performed the recall service and they topped off my gas tank....but it was almost full any way! Had I known that Lexus was going to fill the tank, I'd have gone in without filling up the day before. Oh well.

I just had the recall done. I was told that they were going to fill the gas tank so I brought it in with 30 mile cruising range. The gas pedal was shaved. By the way the new mats say Lexus RX 350 on them.

For me, across 3 different dealers I can remember, it seems the tank is always filled when there is a recall item that is part of the reason you are in for service.
When Lexus originally came out as a brand and the first recall happened back in the day, filling the tank was one of the things they did for customer sat and to differentiate themselves. I suspect Lexus (or at least my dealers) are continuing that tradition, even though I've not read it as a requirement in the written warranty they do so. While I also had my tank filled up for free on even normal services in the early years of the brand, that was when gas was cheap and the dealers didn't even check for a replenished gas tank on their loaners. In more recent years, free coffee/pastries/wash with any kind of service, and pre-scheduled loaner (with me filling the tank back up) still happen at every Lexus dealer I've been to (the latter, per warranty terms, is only a requirement by dealers for longer duration warranty work -- not normal service, and IMO is a differentiation point between some Lexus dealers.)
