Thanks for the concern!

Still working with the dealer towards a new RX. We got the financial part done, now it's about color. Apparently there was some sort of strike in Canada that has limited their inventory, and they won't have a Starfire Pearl for up to 30 days. Right now they have gray, dark gray, or black. I'm pretty sure I don't want to compromise on the color of a $50K + car. I'm currently weighing that against the fact that I'm also pretty sure I don't want my wife driving the old one, either.

It's the last day of the month, and the day before a 3 day weekend. I sure would like to get this done!

First, sorry for the incident but happy that your wife is fine. I would be mad if that happened to my spouse as well.

Second, I am happy to hear that you take on the dealers offer. Some dealers will go beyond their duty to make the customer happy.

I dont think there is such thing as dark gray on the 2013 model so make sure they arent selling you a 2012!

Go for the black! I feel like a girly man when I drive a white one. LOL

This entire issue can finally be put to rest. Last night we took delivery of a 2013 RX450h in Starfire Pearl (which is the color my wife wanted all along). The end result is a good one for us, and we're both pleased.

Once again, our dealer (Kuni Lexus of Littleton) performed flawlessly for us, and will receive our strong and vocal support. I may even stop complaining about the price of parts.

I'll post a picture when I have a few minutes. Right nowI'm going through the owner's manual (yes, I really read them). Many of the functions are the same as our 2010, but some are different and dramatically improved. Mostly, I have to learn about the hybrid system.

Thanks again, for all your suggestions and support!

That's great news, I know you'll love it. And lots of hybrid owners here too .

Kuni Lexus should be given a gold star ..... money out of their pocket for a 'defect' that could not be substantiated. That's stepping up to the plate.
