iOS has just come out. My wife tried to reply to a text and got the usual error. Anyone got it to work?

I just installed 6.1 on my IPHONE 5 and still can't reply to messages, getting the same error message.

I have been able to have the vehicle read me my text messages with OS 6.0.1 -- but now that I've upgraded to 6.1, this function no longer works. Are others having the same problem? Any thoughts on resolving this?

I was hoping that 6.1 would provide limited function to respond to the text (as an earlier member indicated). Does anyone know if this is still planned?

You might want to remove the device from the list of phones and then pair the phone again. The incoming text messages still work with 6.1 but the replies do not in my RX350.

iOS does not support the Reply function. Apple's developer docs call this out. I guess they want to force customers to use Siri instead.

I've tried this on 6.1.3. Still no luck. I don't get it, I don't need Siri. She's great, but she works half the time. Options are better than potential capability. Anyone have further updates as to when this will actually work?

It has never worked for me, and I am not expecting it to at the moment. I wish Apple would add the support, and Lexus add Siri support. I would like the best of both!

I have more faith in Lexus doing something than Apple. Apple has lost the appeal and their software is unreliable a lot of the time lately. But both would be great.

For those interested, Samsung S3, this feature works fine, both recv and sending pre canned txt.
However, NO EMAIL reading.... is this an Apple only function??

E-mail is not read for me! Is there a special way of enabling that? Although having said that the amount of work e-mail I get I am not sure I'd ever get to hear any music!

Yeah, it is just that someone mentioned the iPhone and e-mail. I have iPhone 5 and it does not work. I was not really expecting it to, just wondered if I messed something!

Just to be clear....I have an iPhone 4S and, while I'm unable to send a response to a text message in my 2013 RX, there is no problem with the vehicle receiving / reading me the text. The options that are available for outgoing texts are pretty limited anyway so this is not a feature that I miss.
