traction control?
Had a chnce to drive 300 miles in snowy conditions this weekend, I noticed a few times while going threw some thick snow a red light would flash on and off before i could get a chance to look down and read it this was below the fuel gauge and next to the 120 mph mark on the dash is this the traction control kicking in and out?
Latter i tried to push the EV mode button and accidently pushed the Traction control button, the dashed showed Trac Off, pushed button again and dash showed nothing. Should it show Traction ON?
Thanks
Mike
PS the 450h Handels heavy snow very well, but lost a little gas milage

TRAC on is the default and will reset after each start sequence; TRAC off is "shown," but TRAC on is not shown.
As for the drive through snow, the VSC (vehicle stability control) became engaged to stabilize the for wheels for skid and slip prevention. A yellow light (maybe red) with squiggle marks would momentarily appear, as the VSC coordinated the event.

I dont remember any red light that should appear. It should be yellow with a picture of a car and squiggly lines beneath it. As UTAS said, the traction control and vehicle stability control VDIM is always on when you start the car, meaning if you turned it off before, it will turn back on when you restart.
if you push the traction control button, it will turn off traction control. If you push and hold the trace off button, another light will appear on the dash and this would turn off the VSC as well so you are pretty much on your own then.
