Voice Recognition Issues
Does anyone or has anyone had any issues with the voice recognition system? My wife is having problems getting the system to recognize her voice....the system always responds back "pardon" or whatever. I am not sure if it is her voice tone etc, but when I use it I really don't have a problem...let me know!

I think Cruiter has the most success. I struggle sometimes. Speaking towards the microphone in a normal tone and pace seems to work best. Yelling like I do doesn't help at all, nor does calling her names. Knowing the right vocabulary helps out too. I don't have the points of interest memorized, so that's a problem for me.

Right. Jim seems to have good success. Me, well, I gave up after about 3 weeks of focused effort trying to use voice recognition on my 2013, just as I did with my 2006. I wanted to kick her when she said "pardon?" after nearly everything I said, and it was always a laugh with passengers after about the 3rd attempt. ...and to think of how many presentations, conference calls, and meetings I led over the years, with never once a question of "could you repeat that?" because of poor enunciation.
...as a side note, I've been pre-reading the manuals for my new on-order MBZ SLK, and it's voice recognition has an optional customization/training process a single driver can go through to improve its recognition of individual voices. It will be an interesting experiment when I take delivery in the April-ish timeframe.
