I never, ever, respond to anything on social forums that has any semblence of something political, nor do I discuss politics with even my closest friends, but in this case... I think it's just disgusting when countries want to participate in global economies, yet allow such blatent examples to take place within their borders. There is no excuse.

A dollar to a donut say's it's not built any better then their 60's vintage Russian artifact of an Air Craft carrier. Their symbol of national pride is just that, a symbol and not much more. And so goes everything produced there.
About a month ago, I bought myself some 'birthday' clothes and for laughs and giggles ordered from a 'Made only in America' site. Wanna know something ??? They were only a little more and dammed fine made. Now I'm not talking cars but clothing because it's something that is 90% of what's on your backs this very moment . China just can't cut it on originality or quality.

This is not the only Lexus clone in China nor is it the first Lexus RX clone made by BYD.

And while, yes, some of the photos may have been retouched with Photoshop, I can confirm that these vehicles have been seen at car shows and on the roads in China. The Chinese companies claim these are not clones, but rather are original product designs.

That's all they do... Their government wants foreign company to invest/setup manufacturing in China with some initial attractive profit, then they learn and copy the know-how. Once they get the know-how, they build their own for domestic consumption and compete with foreign brand
For same reason, they always urge US to export technology to them to balance trade deficit. I hope US won't fall into their trap..
