Not sure if I view the RX as an SUV for females - I will be picking one up in the course of a couple of weeks, and it'll be my daily driver. I intentionally picked the variant with the more sporty front end, perhaps it's a bit more "masculine" compared to the standard front end.
I have a 200 Series LandCruiser, which, in Australia at least, seems to be favoured more by the blokes than the gals, perhaps due to it's imposing size. I wouldn't view the RX to be more suitable to females than males - I think that the fact many women drive it is a testament to the versatility of the vehicle. Hats off to Lexus for this successful model in their range.
I see many women driving around in Mercedes ML (nee GLS), men in Audi Q5, etc. so it's a pretty mixed bunch out there, at least in Australia.

In southern California there are a lot of "housewives" driving the RX and it is literally EVERYWHERE!!! I think we have the most concentraion of RX in the country. My wife drives the RX (RX450h) mostly and I drive it sometimes. In stop and go traffic in SoCal the RX450h shines in the mpg department!!!
We usually leave our LX570 in the garage unless we are going on a trip. I jump from my CT200h to my RCF back aan forth depending on my location...... much prefer the RCF!!!😁😁😁😁😁

I first replied to this thread back in Dec, 2013 (post #69) when we owned our first 2010 RX. We just picked up a 2015 RX cuz the wife loved the two-toned interior (black & saddle tan). Amazing what a difference 5 years can make. The 2015 is SO much quieter than the 2010 was, plus this time we got all the bells & whistles that the 2010 did NOT have. I think the only options we don't have are the ML sound system and the HUD, which I would have liked.
The RX is our daily driver, as our other two vehicles are primarily used for off-road and bad winter weather. I do most of the driving.

Just picked up a 2015 Rx and it is no where close to as quiet as my Gx470 or the Q5 I rented a few days ago .
I did drive straight home and not around town yet , my opinion my change after I drive around town more ,

Our "new" 2015 RX is not only quieter than our old 2010 RX, it is also quieter than the 2015 Toyota Highlander Limited we just sold. It is about as quiet as our 2015 Land Cruiser. Most noticeable on the freeway/highway. Something tells me that RXs are not all created equal. I wonder? Our 2015 was built in Japan.

We wondered about that too when we drove all variants of the RX back in 2013. We settled on the RX450h.
