Update - I'll be getting the Continental CrossContact LX25 h installed in a couple of days. Will update compared to my my Michelin Premier, let folks know what the ride's like on the AWD

Not happy with the tread life of my Michelin Primacy Tour AS. I’ve had them for almost 5 years but with only 40K miles and the tread is between 4-2/32nds. Lexus will mount Pirelli Scorpion AS tires; however, on Tire Rack, the Pirelli Weatheractive tires have a better rating (specifically for my vehicle). Lexus wont warranty the Weatheractive for my vehicle, even though the size/load/speed rating indicate it’s an acceptable tire for my car. I like a quiet, soft ride, but I also don’t want to feel like the car is turning over when I round the bend. Any thoughts on Pirelli tires and also on why Lexus won’t warranty the Weatheractives?

I despise Pirelli. We have had four sets of Pirelli tires on four different vehicles during the past 40 years. None of them lasted over 20,000 miles.

Agreed, I have also had a problems with Pirelli tires even holding air pressure. Go with the Michelin Cross Climate 2 at Costco. Never buy a tire from the Lexus dealer!

The manual probably says all season tires are the recommended fitment. All weather is something newer.

I hadn't seen this thread or even knew it was an option. I, instead went on a search and had already been familiar with Yokohamas on my GS300 so, I set it on the back burner to compare prices and ratings. I don't remember where I made the decision to get them. It was a culmination of everything else and price being the main factor and ordered 4 from simpletire.com for $758.89 installed, and I'm supposed to get a $30 veteran rebate. I don't have them yet, nor do I know if I can still cancel them. I don't know the date or country of origin and I intend to keep them, but this thread seems like a great place to decide. I'll be replacing 235/60/18 Michelins that I recently pressured to 40. I'll be lowering that as they seem like I'm riding with Barney Rubble (from the Flintstones) now. I hope I enjoy the Yokohamas. The Costco Michelins cost almost $300 more.

I just put the Goodyear Assurance Comfort Drive 235/55R19 on my 2015 RX 350, they aren’t noisy and give a nice ride.
I would recommend these tires, at this point I don’t know how long they will last.

Snapped a set of Kumho HP71 which were marked down on Amazon to $118 each. At that price point, figured these are worth a shot. The Pirelli tires currently on are down to 4/32 and howl like crazy at 40k miles and are twitchy in rain.

Looking for some guidance here - what’s the option for new TPMS sensors? I have an Autel at home and 2 of the OEM sensors are dead. Figured it’s a good time to have all 4 sensors replaced - figured an ETD Discount Tire or Firestone could do the install of tires and TPMS. Any brands that are known and will last a while? OEM from the Lexus site were expensive. Appreciate the help here!

My local tire shop installs autel brand sensors for around $60-70 installed. They work. Had one fail quickly - under 1yr and they replaced it for free. Otherwise they are at around 3+ years and fine.

I gave up on the Pirelli’s and got the Cross Climate. Michelin is giving me 25% off. Costco install. Their long lines are 😵‍💫 but the 5 year warranty is the best.

They’re giving me 25% off a new set of Michelins since my last tires only lasted 36K miles and just under 5 years. The new installs tomorrow better not be a year old before install.

You may want to ask to see the four-digit date code embossed on the sidewalls of the new tires before they install them. The first two digits represent the week, and the last two digits represent the year. So, a date code of "1624" means that the tires were built during the 16th week of 2024.
