So this is a dumb question, but I just realized that if you look under the bumper on the left and rent side their are two vent like looking things. I tried taking a picture but it was too dark. Is it normal for the driver side vent to be open, but the passenger side front vent to look like a vent but be blocked by plastic? Just wondering.

It's normal. The trans cooler is located on the driver side.
