Thanks everyone, I ordered a Draw Tite hitch from Amazon for $155 and I am going to have it installed for $75 locally. Also, bought an Allen Deluxe 3 bike hitch rack from Amazon as well. Will post some pics once the install is complete.

For those interested in Saris Trunk Rack-this is what I got as a reply from their CSR:
If you are interested in trunk-mounted racks, the Bones 2-bike rack, the Guardian, and the Sentinel would fit your vehicle. There are, however, a number of particulars in pairing your Lexus with a Saris trunk rack. All options for your vehicle will require Hatch Huggers, small replacement parts for the Top Hooks. Additionally, the trunk rack options for your vehicle would have a 2-bike, 70 lb. load limit, and the bikes must be located in positions closest to the vehicle.

I bought these for my RX. Only me riding in the family so went with the Talon.

Was bit skeptical at first just relying on suction caps and went through initial period of constantly checking rear view mirror to ensure the bike is still there, but so far so good and they are really strong. Best of all, very easy to store away.

Best would be something like a Rocky Mount Tie Rod that fits on the factory cross bars
http://www.rockymounts.com/tierod_bike_rack_p/1012.htm

Only $150 for the rack, just need the crossbars, comes off easy, and VERY secure. I'm a bike racer and ride about 8,000 miles/year. Usually, my bike(s) travel IN my car (RX is the wife's car) since all told, my bikes cost more than her RX But a roof rack is best and I've had my car (not the RX) up to 120 mph+ (really) traveling to a stage race with 3 bikes on it. If you must do a hitch rack (yuk), I highly recommend the Kuat racks. Bit pricey, but you get what you pay for ...

Default Bike rack hitch

Looking to get a hitch for a bike rack. I see lots of RX350's with one that is exactly want I am looking to install but I don't know the kind. There is a Curt model # 13143 that I think might be the one. It hardly is noticeable and does not protrude from the bumper. Anyone that can give guidance? Thanks!!!

Yep, Curt 13143 is the one you want.
Easy install considering it's a hitch.
The instructions are accurate except you don't need to trim as much plastic as they state.
Take your own measurements and trim less for a cleaner fit.

But be sure to plan ahead and make allowances for the cable. I cut mine so close that storing and retrieving the cable is challenging.

I've actually never used a trailer and probably won't in the future so I tied the cable down to the hitch and thought it would be fine, or just there if I ever needed it so it won't swing around inside. Would I have to extend this cable outwards to hook it up to a trailer? I assumed it would have a cable long enough to reach there. I only use mine for a bike rack.

Default Please show me your bike rack

Hi all, just got a '11 RX 350 and am in need of a bike rick. Thinking of putting on a hitch so I can use my old rack, but would love to see other options and hear other opinions. Thanks!
