To compound things are regional differences where some competitive areas have the vehicles well priced right off the bat and don't have much room to move. In general though, it doesn't appear very common to see this amount of a discount on a CPO without a lot of work.

I'm curious to know the details of how your vehicle is configured, asking price and what you actually paid before tax, title, license. It may help the OP as well.

I do think the fact that this was an early build, pre-enform, is making this dealer motivated to move the vehicle. Anyone shopping around is going to ask where the SOS button is if they've seen others in person or online. What they may not understand is the expense of the system. If you don't think you'll pony up the $150-250 a year, then the sunglass holder is a nice feature to have. We wish ours had one up there since we don't subscribe to the service.

yeah i hear you, well Total Price for my lexus was 37.5 or 38k, and they dropped it to 32.5 ( thats with all the taxes and registration fees and stuff)

Hah - I didn't even know about the Lexus enform thing. Although I think I'd prefer the sun glass holder in place of a button that essentially dials 911 for you if you have a smart phone in lieu of $1,000+ increase in price along with the annual fees.

Only thing you really lose is the auto emergency connect if the airbags deploy and you are unable to dial 911 and no one else is around. Also, looks like it has GPS tracking should your vehicle be stolen by an amateur car thief. Certainly nice to have, but not something I'd be willing to pay for if it was an "option."

I have a late 2010. They made revisions since the debut in 2009. Many items in the manual don't match the car! They also got rid of the noisy bumpy back from shocks or whatever. It is possible to find one with fewer miles as some of us just don't drive that much.

Yes I agree. My X5 has a similar system that its about $300 per year to operate which we declined to renew after the first year trial. It is a great thing for peace of mind especially when driving around with a child and say you forget your iPhone and God forbid you need emergency service. However, I'd rather pay $300 for new sunglasses and put them in the holder quite honestly...at least I'd always know where they are!

dwlink, Do you know what brand your headrest monitors are? I am thinking about getting some. How does the leather match up to the rest of the upholstery?

I came from GM cars last year, had Onstar for 4 years at $144 per year and never used it once, I thought it was comforting to have on road trips, it took me 4 years to wise up! :-)
