hi guy just got my wife new 2013 lexus rx350 display audio/backup camera.
the car didn't come with HID, just wonder what type of bulb install in the halogen projector is it H11 I want the light a bit whiter, the stock to yellowish. I was thinking either drop xenondepot kit or PiAA bulb in there. what you guy think, please advice.

thanks guy, I search the forum but didn't see anyone with halogen projector with HID kit install.I'm worry about the height of rx350 might blink incoming traffic. H11 is the right bulb socket for RX projector? just want to confirm before I make my order. thanks

Kuoi. Nthanks for answer. Try DDM tuning. Their kit is really good, and slim. Try from 4500 to 6000k. They are reasonably bright, and not overwhelming. I have it in my vr4. They work great. As for the socket. I have no idea

The bulb size should be listed in the specification section of the manual. Or you can register on Lexus.com and search the manual online. I'm not aware of anyone installing an HID kit in their RX. Maybe try a different halogen bulb first. I got the Philips Diamond Vision bulbs from Nigel @ NigelJDMParts. He's a CL sponsor. Mine are in the fog lights. They have a slight blueish tinge and decent output. If you are leaning towards HID, contact Steve at Xenon Depot. He'll help you pick the right kit.

Hid kit is very easy to install. In fact you should be able to take out your halogen and look at the bottom of the bulb. It is on there.
DDM kit is easy to install.
Instead of the wiring going toward the halogen bulb. It will go toward the ballast in the kit, and then the ballast will go toward the HID. You simply twist it in place of the taken out Halogen, and Voila.
Next = you find a good place to mount and hide that ballast, keep it out of the heat source, or whatever, whenever sophisicated and make sense to you
*notice* halogen donot care about positive or negative pole. HID does. If it doesnt light up, turn the plug around, or reverse it polary.
Very easy job in my vr4. Neveer done on the RX as i never owned one lol

When with Xtreme digital HID kit with Phillip
Bulb 4300k, I'm very happy with the result.
I'm about to get the Volt HID fog light conversion
Kit as well since is only $90 with club Lexus discount.

Dang it, what a great deal you all getting in California. The best I get here is about 7% off MSRP. Anything considering 500-1000 below invoice is a Super Deal up here in Ohio
