Default Wife had an accident with the RX

Nobody was hurt. She was making a left turn into a main road when she t-bone the car on the main road. I suppose that is her fault. Coming from a full stop and crossing the street to hit the other car, she must be going no more than 5-8 mph. But here is the damage to the RX. All in front: bumper fell off, grille fell off, windshield washer can broke, both headlights gone, maybe radiator is damage, hood bent. I assumed most of the stuff within a foot in front of the car is damaged. I initially thought the car is totaled but they will repair it.

Good thing that no one was hurt.
Were the airbags deployed? that's a good gauge on how severe the impact was.

Not to be the devil's advocate here, but be prepared for some legal action from the other driver.
Let's hope not. a good communication between affected parties tend to keep the ambulance chasers out of the party.

but, hey that's why we have insurance.

Sorry to hear and happy no one was hurt. My F-Sport was recently backed into and damaged at the side rear and repaired last week. Hopefully your RX will be good as new in no time.

I'm very glad no one was hurt. As for the RX, let insurance handle the repairs. Accidents happen unfortunately. Keep us updated please.

Glad nobody was hurt.

Be sure the shop matches the paint properly. My old 2010 ES was Truffle Mica and they had a hell of a time matching the bumper when I had it repainted. Lots of different colored flake...

The airbags did not deploy.

The insurance will handle it. The other car is a 93 Lincoln which will to my guess will be totaled. As for our RX upon closer look, it will need left and right front fenders, hood, headlights, grille, front bumper and support, windshield reservoir, all electrical in that part of the car. The radiator look intact. The appraiser was there but I forgot to ask him how much it will cost. I will get that from the autobody shop.

Thank goodness nobody was hurt. I did ask my wife to make sure she does not have a headache and not to sleep or take a nap for a while. So far she is okay. The police offered to call an ambulance but everybody declined.

Thanks for the replies.
