10k service light?
Hi guys, dont know about the service intervals in the states but over in the UK its an intermediate service every 10k miles and a full service every 20k miles. Thing is, the clock shows 10003! But no service light? Is there no service light or warning on the RX450h? Should I just get it done anyway? The service book is empty of course and dont really want any missing gaps in it. Thanks in advance.

We have 5K/6 months service intervals with oil change every 10K/12 months over here. The reminder light is programmed to go off every 5K. I wouldn't wait for it to come on. Just follow your mileage, or in my case, months. I never hit the mileage.

I wonder why its not gone off then. Seems rather strange. Will get the service sorted then, and hopefully the dodgy wheel too. Bloody expensive service though

rayaans, when was the last time you brought your 450h in for service? The dealer is supposed to reset the reminder light, assuming it's programmed similarly for you. I wouldn't concern yourself about why it hasn't come on. It is after all triggered by mileage. Most people have the opposite problem, the light coming on too early. Fortunately it's very simple to reset. I look forward to what your dealer says about the wheel and getting that resolved. Good luck

Interesting. I've had the 30day/1K, 5K and 10K within the first year of ownership. Lexus went with 10K oil change not too long after I picked up the 450h and updated the maintenance schedule. The first service was primarily to make any changes to LPS and check over the RX, the 5K for more checking and tire rotation, and the first oil change and another tire rotation at 10K. All were free as the first two services (three in my case) are included here in the US. Major services are every 15K. I guess you don't get those two free services But on the positive side, maintenance is about all you have to worry about with the RX.

Guys got a question, my wife's 2010 RX350 came up for the 35k service which is basically nothing. I reset the reminder light on the gps screen and that went off. The problem is the "oil maintenance required" light stays lit on the dash. I don't see a way to turn that off or reset it. It is in the dash where your fuel mileage, etc displays. Any advice on how to reset or turn that off would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

It is entirely possible there is no reminder light in the UK. I'd confirm with the dealer or search through the owners manual. Better yet, try the rest light sequence to see if it will do anything.

LOL, reminder light only for Americans. What a concept. At least we can reset it ourselves unlike the good old days. Going in for service twice a year is not that difficult to remember. My dealer puts the little sticker on the inside driver's side windshield noting when it's due and sends me e-mail reminders. Only once has the light come on the week before I brought it in. I reset it

Never got a service light. Dealer says it might have never been turned on. Good news is that its going for the 10k intermediate service next week and will have the wheel checked out too.
